Irresistible neo-soul tones from Jaleesa in VEGA
With a past as a choir singer for Coco O. and Alex Vargas, Jaleesa now ready to step onto the stage with their own music in the form of their debut album, Sodalite, which will be released on October 3rd.
A soulful soundscape flows through the musician's universe. The sources of inspiration are jazz and Italian film music, where lyrics about strength and vulnerability dance cheek to cheek to Jaleesa's silky, inciting vocals.
Jaleesa released her first single “Woman” last year, and has since released “Crystal Tears”, “Black Jade” and “Your Light”. And now her debut album is ready for release. She talks about the process behind the album in a press release:
“The whole creative process gave me the opportunity to clean up many of the emotions I have carried over the years. It has therefore also been an emotional and personal journey, but also a journey that has given me a sense of freedom and independence. Hopefully the music will resonate, and maybe even inspire someone to stay true to their own journey.”
The audience was able to experience Jaleesa at Roskilde Festival, where GAFFA in particular was enthusiastic about the singer's great voice and indomitable stage presence.
The magazine even polished the editorial oracle and came face to face with tomorrow's neo-soul hopes with the headline: "A star was born in the warm glow of the sun."
Now you can experience Jaleesa in Lille VEGA this spring, when she unleashes her irresistible soul tones.

Natasha Imani is an independent Danish/Malaysian artist whose music moves in the intersection between alternative R&B, soul, and indie, with an artistic expression characterized by organic elements, melancholy, and a strong emotional focus. Her music navigates themes of sex, love, loss, and all things taboo—told with unflinching honesty and a refusal to self-censor.
In 2023, she released her debut EP Violate Me, a deeply personal project that garnered national airplay and was featured on several editorial playlists across major streaming platforms. The title track earned her a spot as one of ten emerging artists selected for the 2025 KarriereKanonen — a prestigious talent program hosted by DR P3 and Bandakademiet.
