Sort Sol ON STORE VEGA STAGE
Interest in Sort Sol has been ongoing since the band's performance at Copenhell in 2024.
The concert was the group's only full-scale show in six years, and the announcement of Sort Sol immediately sold out the festival. Many people were unable to get tickets, and the concert was subsequently met with positive reviews in front of a packed festival site on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen.
Now the band continues. This time on stage in VEGA on May 15, 2026. On stage are Steen Jørgensen on vocals, Lars Top-Galia on guitar and Tomas Ortved on drums.
They are flanked by AC on bass and Manoj Ramdas on guitar, both formerly associated with The Raveonettes, among others. The concert brings together a wide selection of Sort Sol's award-winning catalog.
The repertoire ranges from "Kursk", the band's requiem for the nuclear submarine sinking in the Barents Sea, and the expressive "Tatlin Tower", to glam rock numbers like "Siggimund Blue" and "Popcorn".
Added to this are the more introverted "Kiss The Streets" and "Daughter of Sad" as well as the quiet classics "Let Your Fingers Do The Walking" and "Copenhagen".
The music has its origins in punk, the genre Sort Sol brought to Denmark and Scandinavia, and then moved on to other musical expressions, which will also be presented in VEGA on May 15, 2026.
Please note: If you are arriving in a wheelchair, we kindly ask you to read the following information.
Unfortunately, our large elevator has unexpectedly gone under repair and is therefore out of service for an indefinite period. We do have two smaller elevators available, but they have limited space, so we cannot guarantee access for all types of wheelchairs.
If you use a wheelchair, we recommend reviewing the dimensions below in advance to assess whether your wheelchair will fit and allow access to the venue.
The dimensions of our two smaller elevators are as follows:
Door opening: 80 cm, depth: 110 cm
Door opening: 78 cm, depth: 160 cm
Our service staff on the evening will, of course, do everything they can to ensure you gain access. We apologize for the inconvenience and disruption, and we will of course refund your ticket should you decide not to attend, or if you are unable to access the venue.
VEGA is located in Folkets Hus, a listed historic building. As a result, there are significant limitations on the changes and structural modifications we are permitted to make in order to implement more accessible solutions for people with disabilities.
We always strive to provide all concertgoers with a positive experience within the framework of VEGA. However, on this occasion, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate all wheelchair sizes, as accessibility in the building also depends on the repair and maintenance of our elevators, which are essential in enabling access for wheelchair users.
