When Soulfly hits the stage at Lille VEGA, the pedal is firmly to the floor. For decades, the band has fused blistering thrash, death metal, and nu-metal with tribal rhythms and raw socio-political fury.

As the former frontman and co-founder of Sepultura, Max Cavalera is regarded as a true pioneer of extreme metal. With Soulfly, he has refined a wholly uncompromising sound of his own, where crushing guitar riffs collide with thunderous percussion.

Last year, the band released their 13th studio album, CHAMA, through the influential label Nuclear Blast Records. Chama means “flame” — and that is exactly the untamed fire the legendary band unleashes upon the listener.

On the album, Soulfly returns to its roots: it’s heavy, it’s fast, and it’s drenched in the iconic tribal rhythms that fans around the world know and love them for. The album is packed with outstanding guest appearances from icons such as Dino Cazares of Fear Factory, Michael Amott of Arch Enemy, and Todd Jones of Nails.

For the concert in VEGA, Soulfly will also bring along acclaimed guitarist Mike DeLeon of Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, ready to shred eardrums with ferocious solos.
