The American quartet The Dandy Warhols is an institution.

Since 1994, they have taken their fans on journeys into the soul of rock music and the sharp, inspiring and psychedelic magic of pop.

They are one of the few American bands to be labeled 'American Britpop' due to their playful style and humorous and insightful lyrics.

For more than 30 years, the quartet has been playing in a musical universe of psych rock, shoegaze, power pop and synth pop. And with hits like “Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth” and “Bohemian Like You,” they sparked the biggest hipster wave in music history in the late 90s and early 00s.

But despite their huge success with 90s alt-rock, they have never been limited to a single genre. Throughout their prolific career, they have kept fans and music-inquisitive souls on edge with surprising releases.

Among other things, when they released the four-hour instrumental album Tafelmuzik Means More When You're Alone in 2020 and when they excelled with the album ROCKMAKER in 2024. Here, The Dandy Warhols took another turn with the genre bus and fired up the cauldrons with heavy punk and metal guitar riffs.

Even after more than 30 years on stage, the playful Americans haven't stopped experimenting – neither on record nor live. When they take over Lille VEGA on June 11, it will be against a backdrop of 90s and 00s monster hits – and plenty of room for musical surprises and digressions.
