The Danish hip-hop scene has gained a new voice that cuts through superficiality with razor-sharp lyrics and uncompromising attitude.

The Vesterbro rapper, hvem, puts stories and emotions in focus in a present cocktail of brutal honesty, bars and beats.

The name "hvem" is an expression of the fact that the music and the story are always the focal point when he steps up to the microphone. It's about what is being said, and to a lesser extent about who is saying it.

With an ability to alternate between the monumental and the immediate, hvem has already made a mark as an artist who does not follow the flow, but who has found his very own place on the Danish music scene.

On his new single “sir det bare” he puts high-pressure rhymes on a heavy old school beat and leaves the listener nodding their heads with a taste of pure attitude.

Behind hvem is Jonas Carlsen, who has written for and worked with Danish artists such as MAS and FØNS, but finally he steps out of the shadows with a bang of a concert at Ideal Bar.
