BAEST blows away Store VEGA
One of Denmark's most prominent metal bands is heading to VEGA in April, where they will open the doors to an unforgettable, heavy-hitting evening. Their latest album Colossal (2025) marks a musical breakthrough, with the band fusing the intensity of death metal with classic 80s heavy metal, hard rock and progressive songwriting.
The album is produced by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn) and has received massive media attention and international recognition – among others, Gaffa has given it five stars and written:
“There’s no doubt that BAEST are expanding their sonic palette on this album, and they’re doing so in a big way. The band is showing off new songwriting skills and also breaking with conventional notions of what metal should sound like.”
BAEST have cemented their position as a leading force in modern metal since their explosive debut, Danse Macabre (2018).
With the original lineup – Sebastian Abildsten (drums), Simon Olsen (vocals), Lasse Revsbech (guitar), Mattias Melchiorsen (bass) and Svend Karlsson (guitar) – the band has been praised for their crushing riffs, unstoppable energy and strong live performances.
Since their debut in 2018, BAEST has released four acclaimed studio albums and one EP. BAEST has played over 350 concerts in Denmark and abroad, including festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Copenhell and Kaltenbach. They have toured with prominent names such as Abbath, Krisiun, Entombed AD and DAD.
Their live performance and musical development have positioned them as one of the most exciting and innovative names on the European metal scene. On April 24th, you can see for yourself when BAEST hits the stage at Store VEGA.
