For the 21-year-old debutant, Karl Blanchez , music was not always a dream, but it has become one. Lyrics and melody act as a valve for all the musician's emotions and especially the relationships in life are central to Blanchez's lyrics and musical universe.

The songs on the musician's debut EP Ægte & Falsk (2025) are both about friends – whether they are there when it really counts? And about girls – the ones you set free and miss, and the ones you make a fool of yourself with.

Blanchez both raps and sings on the five tracks that make up the EP. The honest lyrics are supported by a mix of classic hip-hop beats, an R&B flow and electronic funky pop. The single “Ægte Kærlighed” in particular is a mix of danceable beats and honest lyrics. Blanchez says about the single:

"True Love" is about the ex-boyfriend. About everything that went wrong, how we dealt with the problems and seeing it all again from the outside, knowing that what we had and could give each other was the right and genuine thing."

With his childhood friend, Frederik Schlundt, as producer, Karl Blanchez is ready to take over VEGA's Ideal Bar and take the first step on his musical journey.
