For many years, the artist behind Slowgold , Amanda Werne, wrote and composed musical masterpieces in a small cabin in Skåne - without water or electricity. The sharp lyrics are accompanied by beautiful singer/songwriter and folk tones.

Now the eighth record, Lunga, from the wilderness of Sweden, ready to be released this fall. On May 23rd, a taste of the new album was released with the single “Ömtåliga väg”. The song is a dreamy tale of love, accompanied by pizzicato strings and glockenspiel.

In the new music, Slowgold has chosen to cut right to the bone so that only the most essential elements are allowed to be part of the soundscape. The result is an album where honest lyrics are at the center among the simple and melodic arrangements. Amanda Werne herself says about the album:

“I've realized that I've been very keen on simplifying and scaling down in my life in general. Scaling down to bring out clearer contrasts that are easier to relate to. It's a lot about relationships in music. You might see one side first and then suddenly realize there's another and maybe another. But you're always trying to arrive at a clarity that comes with simplicity."
