One of the rare - intimate piano concert with Lambchop in Store VEGA
Autumn doesn't get much more beautiful than when Lambchop colors Store VEGA in poetic melancholy at the beginning of November. Kurt Wagner has packed his suitcase with some of the most exquisite songs from the band's impressive back catalogue.
Together with musician and producer Andrew Broder, who has appeared on Lambchop's two most recent releases, the critically acclaimed The Bible (2022) and The Showtunes (2021), the duo will delve into the primal emotional power that characterizes Lambchop's deeply felt compositions. They write about the collaboration in the press release:
"The upcoming tour promises to be a continuation of this fruitful collaboration, with Wagner and Broder pushing each other to new heights of creativity and expression. Whether you are alongtime fan of Lambchopor are new to their music, this is a tour that you won't want to miss."
Formed in Nashville in 1986, Lambchop has since released over a dozen critically acclaimed albums on leading labels City Slang and Merge Records. Over the years, they have evolved their sound, incorporating elements of soul, jazz and country into their music.
Throughout their career, Kurt Wagner's distinctive voice has remained the heart and soul of the band - a powerful and emotional instrument that can convey a world of emotion with just a few carefully chosen words.
Andrew Broder has carved out his own niche in the music world as a producer, musician, and frontman for the experimental indie rock group Fog. Broder is known for pushing the boundaries of his musical work.
The rare collaboration shows how eminently the two musicians are at channeling beautiful emotions into every intimate note. The most treasured songs from the catalog will be put in a new, subdued light when Wagner and Broder hit the stage at Store VEGA on November 2nd.
