Heartwarming experimental pop music
Johanne produces Danish-language art-pop with honest lyrics and crisp choral arrangements. With great authenticity, Johanne sings about taboo emotions mixed with organic indie vibes and modern pop production.
Johanne debuted as a DIY solo artist in 2023, where she released the single “Alt for dig”. With the EP Venter from 2024, Johanne made a mark on Danish media and music sites in less than a year as a serious and ambitious artist with something on her heart. In connection with the EP, the singer guested on Go' Aften Live and Kulturen på P1, among others.
In 2025, Johanne is currently releasing several singles, including “Håb om lys”, “Min Veninde”, and her upcoming debut album, Nordpå med et A-tog. Johanne's mission with Venter and Nordpå med et A-tog is to provide honest, artistic and musical stories to reflect on.
As a composer, pianist and co-founder of the band Under Byen, Katrine Stochholm gained great international attention around the turn of the millennium with a long series of groundbreaking Danish-language songs that also attracted international attention.
Stokholm made his solo debut in the fall of 2016 with the album Danser til Radio and the album Verden Består af Samlinger af Stykker, released in 2021. Both albums were named among the five best Danish albums of the year in Dagbladet Information and received massive critical acclaim from the Danish music world.
On stage, Stochholm lets her sense of electronic and experimental music collide with pop nuances, community singing and intensity. She lets her own personal, image-rich and sensual lyrics mix with century-old poems by nature romantics such as Aarestrup, Stuckenberg and Aakjær. A distinctive expression that characterizes the reviewer's darling.
Stochholm is currently working on the single "BLINKENDE LYGTER" from the upcoming album BARNDOMMENS GADE (2025), where she has set a number of poems by Tove Ditlevsen to music.
About the new release, Soundvenue writes: “(...) when you hear her new solo tracks, her fable pop is its own quirky size in the Danish music landscape right now.”
