Liana Flores' dreamy guitar melodies flourish in Ideal Bar
When British-Brazilian singer-songwriter Liana Flores visits Ideal Bar, she combines dreamlike images from her inner world with wistful guitar melodies. With her unique and captivating blend of British folk, classic jazz and the sound of 60s Brazilian bossa nova, Flores has created a distinctive musical expression.
After Liana Flores achieved global success with the song "rises the moon" in 2019, she is now marking her first album. Flower of the Soul - a truly captivating debut. Both the single success and Flower of the Soul is a perfect showcase of Flores's exceptional songwriting talent, with each line revealing itself like a verse from a poem or a brushstroke on a canvas.
On the album, Flores paints vivid images of nature, fantasy, love and loss. Her crystal-clear vocals embrace the listener and invite them into a musical and intimate space.
Growing up in a small town in south Norfolk, Flores began finding melodies in songs and playing them by ear on her keyboard at an early age. She later took piano lessons at primary school and took up the guitar at 18. And in her later teens she began learning the bossa nova songs she loved from her mother's native Brazil - driven by a fascination with the genre's "harmonic language".
When she visits VEGA on November 6, Ideal Bar will provide the perfect setting for the unfolding of Liana Flores' intimate songs and dreamy universe.

Agnes Ea writes Danish-language indie songs that seek to connect with the earth in a wireless world. Her productions blend orchestral and electronic elements with hand-played band sounds. The music frames her clear vocals and honest lyrics, which weave thoughts about friendship, nature, times of crisis, and love together in a mythological universe.
Agnes Ea made her debut in 2024 with the EP Intet forsvinder, which was met with enthusiasm by both audiences and the media. Soundvenue called her “an art pop comet in the Danish music sky,” while Politiken gave her four hearts and praised her with the words “dreamy lyrics bordering on poetry” and “spring-like electronic pop in the ear canals.”
