VILMA sings her way into VEGA's hearts
In 2023, VILMA reached a musical milestone with the release of her debut album Kærlighedserklæringer, which was, with its brutally honest lyrical universe and strong pop compositions, showered praise from both critics and fans. GAFFA gave it five stars and highlighted VILMA's lyrical universe as one of the album's greatest qualities. Now VILMA is on the threshold of releasing her second album, Sikkert syg af følelser, which will be released later in 2025. The album collects the honest, vulnerable and hopeful tones and beats from the debut album and explores with renewed vigor the versatile nature of love.
Sikkert syg af følelser is a concept album that takes the listener on a journey of love - a journey that spans a decade - where themes such as manipulation, addiction and boundaries end in the description of a hopeful and equal relationship. The songs do not revolve around revenge and bitterness, but instead sing of the hope of breaking with habits that stand in the way of new relationships.
VILMA says in a press release about the album: "On this album I'm intense and probably feel way too much, but it's so nice to be allowed to be in it and it helps me and makes me happy."
VILMA has most recently released the single "Det kan ikke være sne", which is co-arranged by musician Teitur Lassen and the single "Jeg savner dig bare, det er alt" which has been interpreted by DR's girl choir, as part of DR Girl Choir's Christmas 2024.
