PATINA's whirlwind of hits strikes VEGA
PATINA has since their breakthrough hits "Flammer Rammer" and "Sådan Må Det Være (Uhhhh)" from 2020, followed up the success of their second album GENSTART from 2022 led by the single of the same name. Both radio and streaming have been big supporters here.
PATINA releases their third studio album Uvejr May 2, 2025. In the wake of this, PATINA announced today an extensive Danish tour in the fall of 2025, where the band will hit the road for Store VEGA.
At the same time, PATINA has established itself as one of the best and most devilish live bands in Denmark – especially in terms of their atypical band construction with three frontmen who alternately sing, play drums and percussion. Embracing the chaos are guitarists Toke Lynggaard Larsen and Mathias Bøttern, bassist Frederik Bak and organ/keys player Jens Møller Jensen, all of whom have permanent positions in the band.
It has been a long and educational journey on the country's stages and the studios of the big cities: "On the stage floor at a venue or a festival, we are on a long quest to be one with the fury of the elements. A quest for 100 percent presence with the audience. When we go on stage, we have a plan, but we don't really know what will happen and whether the plan will hold up. That starting point – or that energy if you will – has enormous power, so that's why we have now, and perhaps more than ever, tried to take it with us in the writing process on our new album. Uvejr." says Søren Bastrup Bojsen, one of the band's three lead singers.
It's all doomed to go wrong. That's the starting point for the conversation when the members put words to that record:
"We are a band that throws ourselves into chaos. Chaos is the entire foundation of our existence as an orchestra. Look at us. We are a band that consists of three drummers, who also function as the three lead singers and three frontmen. Is that wrong or brilliant? Of course it is wrong – and brilliant. It is crystal clear chaos," says another of the three lead singers in the band, Mads Skov Hansen.
