Kellermensch brings drama and music to VEGA
Kellermensch from Esbjerg have since their debut album in 2008 distinguished themselves as one of the most distinctive Danish alternative rock bands, fronted by the unique, charismatic singer and songwriter Sebastian Wolff. On record, the band's songwriting and heavy, yet delicate playing shine, and live they are no less among the country's best and most beloved.
With their unique combination of pedal organ, violins, distorted guitars, thundering drums and thunderous roars, the sextet has reawakened rock music in recent years and on stage has developed from an uncompromising, noisy rock band in the Esbjerg underground to an international concert phenomenon that moves its audience with beautiful, intense, painful and violent live performances of dramatic dimensions. It is not without reason that the band is called Denmark's best live band.
At their latest concert in VEGA during A Colossal Weekend 2025, they cemented their status with 5 stars from GAFFA and these words of praise:
“Kellermensch enter the stage as if it were built for them. It is overwhelming to watch Sebastian Wolff become more and more tense during “Mission” before finally letting go and throwing himself around the stage. You have to really try not to feel what is happening on stage.”
We look forward to welcoming Kellermensch back for a blast of a concert at Store VEGA on November 22nd!
Special Guest: Jakobe
Jakobe is a young Riot Grrrl band from Copenhagen, started in 2023. The band is female-fronted with a single man behind the drums.
Their debut album Surf N Turf was released in 2024, with 19 songs dealing with feminism, politics, and similar themes. Followed by a far too good EP, Perfect Pitch from 2025.
Although the band is relatively new, they have already established themselves well and truly on the punk scene, especially among the young audience – also among the older ones, despite some haters, but to that Jakobe says: “they hate us because they ain’t us”
