The Thy band, Jonah Blacksmith , will release its fourth album in October - their first in five years. Shortly after, the tour bus is refueled and filled with instruments and stuffed animals as the band visits many of the kingdom's beautiful regional venues for the first time in a long time.

The seven-man band has been in the studio and put time and love into a batch of newly written songs about people and lives lived.
About the new album, Simon Alstrup from the band says: “We have made a beautiful and vibrant record that marks a new and slightly different take on our sound and on writing pop-folk songs. Quite early in the process, we knew that we wanted to present the brand new material in a slightly more intimate setting than the big stages that we have been allowed to – and have loved – to play in recent years. That we wanted to give something back to the smaller venues that have created the setting and made a huge difference for us over time.”

Thomas Alstrup adds: “The sweaty, intense closeness that you can create with the audience on the slightly smaller stages is something quite special. It's an atmosphere and energy that we are very much used to, and which we are looking forward to revisiting. Not least with our new songs! We are quite excited about the reception - it would be a lie to say otherwise - and we hope that people will want to come out and experience the new album in a lively, energetic setting - of course with a good mix of new and older songs. Yes, it is in every way an autumn that we in the band are incredibly looking forward to. New album. New tour. It doesn't get any wilder!”

Jonah Blacksmith has its heart and roots in northwest Jutland, and consists of brothers Thomas and Simon Alstrup, as well as Søren Bigum, Lasse Alstrup, Jon Bisgaard Kjeldsen, Søren Poulsen and Thor Kortegaard.
