Having grown up first in Honduras and subsequently in the United States and Canada, Isabella Love Story colored by different moods, places and impressions. A changeability that also resonates in the musician's sound universe.

Lovestory uncompromisingly frolicks between pop and reggaeton; a crossover of genres that has cemented her place as a boundary-seeking and curious blip on the musical radar.

In 2022, the debut album Amor Hardcore was released to great praise from music outlet Pitchfork, who characterized the record as: "playful, maximalist, and flirtatious to the core". And now Isabella Lovestory is back on the album scene with the release, Vanity, where she once again explores the elasticity of genres.

The album is an overwhelming work that pours out of the speakers in cascades of Spanish trap, gothic electronica with a clear inspiration rooted in Y2K-pop, synth-wave, K-pop. All with appreciative nods to stars like Lady Gaga and Kim Gordon.

On Vanity Lovestory channels British luminaries like David Bowie and Siouxie and the Banshees, and visually the musician looks towards the J-rock group Malice Mizer. And thematically Lovestory deals with the vanity of life and its corridors of darkness.

Lovestory explains the relationship between the title and the album's theme:

"I wanted to romanticize that darkness and turning it into storytelling. I think that's the goth, emotional side of this album. Each song is a different side of me dealing with vanity itself, in all its beautiful darkness."
