Heading into the sunset with Marc Scibilia in VEGA
Some latitudes are more musical than others. And Nashville, Tennessee is certainly one of them. The city has hosted a host of big stars and served as a musical backdrop for scratches in the vinyl paint with a penchant for fusing the country genre with youthful big-city attitude.
And it is precisely in the fusion between acoustic, hand-played country and folk and grandiose pop that you find American Marc Scibilia , who started out in Buffalo, but has since headed to Nashville to pursue his dream of a life in music. This has resulted in a number of stylish releases, the latest of which is the single “Best Kept Secret” (2025).
On the songwriter's latest album, More to This (2024), Scibilia unfolds a musical universe of solid and sharp-edged tracks centered around Scibilia's American vocals. Southern-dusted and sun-drenched tracks that can make even the most narrow-minded person want to let their hair down, roll down the window, and chase a sunset.
The single “More to This” in particular has broken the sound barrier and at the time of writing has more than 10 million streams on Spotify.
In addition to cutting his own musical woodcuts, Scibilia has also been in the music control room as a producer for prominent names such as Teddy Swims, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson and Robin Schulz - just to name a small number from the otherwise extensive catalog of collaborators.
Earlier this year, Marc Scibilia toured the European continent, and Scibilia is now returning to our latitudes when he plays the American sun into Lille VEGA.
