The American duo Water From Your Eyes , consisting of Nate Amos and Rachel Brown, released their debut album back in 2017 Long days, no dreams. The indie rock band has released a ton of music, including the album Everyone's Crushed from 2023, released on the leading indie label Matador Records.

This summer the band is releasing their seventh album, It's a Beautiful Place, where the group explores a deeper understanding of themselves, their surroundings and music as a tool.

The instrumentals play a particularly central role on the album. Nate Amos explains in a press release about the prioritization of the instrumental melodies:

"Short instrumental interludes serve as portals between towering, muscular songs. It ended up being about time, dinosaurs and space," says Nate Amos. “We wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledges everything's just a tiny blip.”

And that's exactly what they do with the album's songs, which range widely; from metal beats and rhythmic, monotonous vocal lines to solid guitar surfaces and lyrics inspired by Sci-Fi literature.

One thing is for sure. When Water From Your Eyes takes the stage at VEGA in November, it will be with all sorts of musical input.
