Andalusian singer and songwriter María José Llergo has become a significant voice on the Spanish and international music scene. With deep roots in southern Spanish flamenco, she has created a unique R&B sound, dressed in electronic soundscapes and insistent and raw emotion.

On her debut album Ultrabelleza (2023), Llergo unfolds her musical vision with an uncompromising sound where dreamy beats meet cante jondo - flamenco's deepest and most emotional vocal expression.

The rare international breakthrough with flamenco at its musical core also made The New York Times sharpen their ears and pencils. And that same year, a feature was published on Llergo's uncompromising tribute to his Andalusian heritage.
