It will be the first time ever that the Danish folk trio Munk & Bille can be heard in a very special live format on the Danish music scene.

Here, literature and music, storytelling and melody come together when author Johanne Bille takes to the stage with musicians Esben Munk and Simon Ask. Together they interpret Johanne Bille's writing, which spans 10 years and nine books – and not least several different genres.

The single "Du danser med en morder" was released in the spring and had its premiere in GO' Morgen Danmark. In Ideal Bar, Munk & Bille will present a full concert format that experiments with pop love songs, sad ballads, newly written folk songs and, not least, how literature can sound musical, including through readings of works.

The songs, whose compositions were created by Esben Munk, Simon Ask and Johanne Bille, summarize Johanne Bille's writing, but also a life with all that goes with heartbreak, euphoria and broken surfaces. They revolve around everything from meeting a murderer to being abandoned by the love of your life in a summer house.
