Modeselektor, who have been making their mark as one of Germany's best electronic names since the early 2000s, will be taking over Store VEGA on November 20th as part of their "DJ Kicks Tour". If you have been listening to electronic music this millennium, Modeselektor needs no further introduction. The beat-heavy duo of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary have long since established themselves as one of the beacons of the international electronic scene through strong releases, formidable collaborations and sweat-drippingly intense live shows.

The duo met in the late 90s in Berlin's techno scene, in 2000 they were signed to techno legend Ellen Allien's label BPitchControl – and they haven't looked back since.

CVs include legendary albums such as Hello Mom!, Happy Birthday! and Monkeytown, collaborates with prominent names such as Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, Björk, Trentemøller and Boys Noize and – last but not least – the popular side project Moderat, which they run with fellow countryman Apparat. Considering their long career, it may be surprising that Modeselektor has not yet contributed to the style-setting mix album series “DJ Kicks”.

But that will soon change. To mark the 30th anniversary of “DJ Kicks” and the 40th anniversary of the record label behind the series, !K7 Records, the German beat wizards have put together an eclectic mix that will be released later this year.

To mark the occasion, Modeselektor is embarking on a special “DJ Kicks Tour”, where they will kick things up a notch with a huge electronic party based on the release. They will stop in Denmark, where they will play Store VEGA on November 20th.
