One of Denmark's most exciting voices, Mekdes , is back with new music in 2025 when she releases the song "This Isn't Cool". The song marks a new era for the artist, who has developed both musically and personally. The single has an important message:

"The song is about bad gossip. For example, when someone shares some gossip with you that you don't like and that you don't want to support. The song is also about daring to speak up immediately when there is something you don't agree with."

Mekdes has dominated Danish radio stations since 2018. She is the woman behind hits like “In Favor of You”, “Lonely”, “Hanging Upside Down” and “Greedy”. Therefore, it is not surprising that in 2020 she was nominated for a DMA for the new live name of the year. In addition, Mekdes has won the P3 Gulds Talent award and been nominated for a DMA for producer of the year for her debut album Greedy.

In just a few years, Mekdes has cemented itself as a well-known name in Danish households by, among other things, appearing in the 2024 edition of the TV program Toppen af Poppen.
