Nate Mercereaus latest album Openness Trio is made in collaboration with Josh Johnson and Carlos Niño.

The album features five sessions recorded in unique locations around Los Angeles and Ventura County, including an orchard, a living room, and under a pepper tree.

Nate Mercereau's traditional and untraditional approach to music speaks of an inexhaustible creative potential and has taken him across numerous genres and sonic worlds.

And in addition to being a prolific multi-instrumentalist, Mercereau is also a producer, songwriter and composer. His list of collaborators also includes a host of names such as The Weeknd, Jay-Z, Leon Bridges, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and Jon Batiste, which displays his enormous musical range.

"I call him a magician. He plays guitar, but it almost never sounds like a guitar..." says André 3000 about Nate Mercereau.

One of his more unique partnerships is found in the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. In 2021, Nate Mercereau recorded a duet with the bridge's humming tones and his own guitar playing.

Audiences can look forward to an expansive and exploratory sound experience when magician Nate Mercereau visits Ideal Bar in February.
