There are noisy guitars, soaring synths, forward-looking drums and big pop melodies when School of X unleashes the wild nature of alt-pop at Store VEGA on March 11, 2027.

Behind the project is Rasmus Littauer, who over the years has made it his specialty to let the beautiful and the quirky, the energetic and the melancholic exist side by side.

That's the tension that runs through School of X's music. The melodies are delivered like a shot of pure euphoria, while the lyrics revolve around longing, doubt and the search for something that may not exist at all. On the critically acclaimed album Seventh Heaven from 2024 the contrasts unfolded in an exuberant mix of indie pop, rock and synth. Reviewers showered praises upon the release, and also respond with glowing words when School of X translates its great melodies into musical displays of energy on the live stage:

"School of X matched the audience's Friday mood to its energetic performance at a concert at VoxHall, where Rasmus Littauer's delicate, bright vocals cut clearly through even hard-hitting rock cuts," wrote Soundvenue in connection with Littauer's concert at Voxhall in 2025.

Since Seventh Heaven, School of X has continued to push its own expression.

In 2026, he released the singles 'Dreams', which has been a success on the radio, and the synth-heavy 'Not Enough Time', where Hans Philip guested with laid-back, Danish-language vocals. The new songs point to a new chapter for School of X, where the dreamy coexists with the more organic and immediate.

Rasmus Littauer has gradually established himself as a prominent figure on the Danish music scene. He was among VEGA's Selected Artists in 2017 and has released music as School of X and left his mark as a musician and collaborator for, among others, Liss, Trentemøller, MØ and Deb Never.

Now he returns to Store VEGA with new songs and a new concert experience. Under the title The Darkness You Used to Believe In, Flushed Away Like Foam on the Ocean Blue Tour, School of X heralds a more personal approach to both the music and the encounter with the audience.

“The new songs that have been released this year and the songs that are on the way are very personal and are about some of the most important topics in my life and what is happening right around me,” says Rasmus Littauer.

And meeting the audience will be an important part of the upcoming tour:

“The feeling of being closer to the audience in spirit and at the same time giving more of myself to the music has made me want to do a tour that will give as much as possible both ways. I look forward to unfolding that next year.”
