In a maelstrom of insistent beats and tones from genres such as electro-rock, pop, and hip hop, Danish AFSKUM creates his very own universe, where drive meets vulnerability, and light fights for space with darkness.

AFSKUM first wrestled for the audience’s attention with his immensely strong self-titled debut album, AFSKUM, in 2023. Several reviewers threw their hands in the air with enthusiastic reactions and glowing praise.

Soundvenue rewarded him with five stars and the headline: “The hype was real: Afskum’s debut album is the birth of a unique talent on the Danish music scene.”

Now, AFSKUM is back in the spotlight with two brand-new singles: “JEG VIL HØRE ALTING / GLEMMER ALDRIG”, both heralding the musician’s upcoming album, HJERTET / KNIVEN . The album is made in collaboration with producer August Kulmann (Statisk, Spleen United, and more).

On the two new singles, AFSKUM cultivates his ear for making contrasts meet. In a press release, he poses the question: Can you live in anger and grief and still be loved – but, more importantly, still love?

Live, AFSKUM is a blazing ball of energy, taking the stage with great intensity and convincingly unfolding his wide musical wingspan, consisting of sharply cut mixes of genres.

GAFFA awarded six stars to his performance at SPOT Festival in 2022, writing: “Like a tiger in a cage, he shouts, dances, jumps, and smashes around the stage in a way that seems like a matter of survival to him.”
