Some talents reveal themselves earlier than others.

American Chance Peña learned to play the guitar at an early age, and at the age of 11 he began writing his own folk-pop songs. He was only 15 when he drew attention to himself as a contestant on the TV show “The Voice,” and at just 17 he signed a contract with a music company as a songwriter, while also starting to release his own tracks.

Peña has since released a slew of singles and EPs, all characterized by his emotional vocals, historically aware folk inspiration, modern pop feel, and atmospheric productions.

In 2019, his song "Up, Up and Away" was featured in the film "Five Feet Apart", the same year the excellent EP Anxiety & Mixed Emotions was released, and the following year he co-wrote the Grammy-nominated song "Conversations in the Dark" for John Legend.

His exponentially growing popularity can be seen in his over 9 million monthly listeners, and that his two biggest hits “In My Room” and “I Am Not Who I Was” have both been played more than 400 million times.

Chance Peña made his album debut in 2024 with “Ever-Shifting, Continual Blossoming”, and in the same year he gave an excellent, completely sold-out concert at Pumpehuset.

Earlier this year, the strong follow-up When I Change My Mind I Don't Mean It was released, his first via the legendary major label Columbia Records (Adele, Bob Dylan, First Aid Kit).

He will present the new album live here on May 30, 2026, when he gives his largest Danish venue concert to date in Store VEGA.
