Dreamstruck is Karen Krogshøj's crystal clear bright voice and cool bass riffs meeting Jonas Struck's exploratory shoegaze guitar universe. It's cool drum machine lo-fi aesthetics meeting the grand, cinematic and dreamy spiced with surf references and a garage edge.

Jonas Struck is known as the guitarist in Swan Lee and award-winning film score composer (Fuld Af Kærlighed and Oxen) Karen Krogshøj is a lyricist, songwriter and bassist and formerly a part of the rock band Vamp Camp.

The duo started playing surf, which sparked the desire to write their own songs and search for new soundscapes in music. The drum kit was replaced with a drum machine and a more rigorously cool sound, the result was a cinematic dreamy universe.

In addition to their musical collaboration, Krogshøj and Struck have been a couple for many years, and some of the lyrics revolve around the nuances of a relationship - from the difficult moments to the hope that creates change:

"It was quite a challenge for me to write so personally, but it turned out to have an almost couple-therapeutic effect for us when the core of the conflicts was framed and it created a common understanding of what was at stake. The song Volcano from the album is an example of one of these lyrics. The smoldering volcano is the image of a passive aggressiveness that lurks beneath the surface in some people," explains Krogshøj.

Dreamstruck's debut album will be released on Friday, January 10th.
