For over twenty years, Efterklang has been exploring the boundaries of experimental electronic chamber pop. Danish trio Mads Brauer, Rasmus Stolberg and Casper Clausen continue their musical journey into the beautiful soundscapes of atmospheric vocals, synthesizers and soaring, beautiful melodies.

The childhood friends released their debut album, Tripper, back in 2004, which took the listener around the world of electronica and rich vocal harmonies. The band gained international recognition with the album and a devoted fan base grew steadily as the three musicians delved into their cinematic, spacious and captivating compositions.

After releasing 2012's Piramida, the trio took time away from the traditional album cycle and formed Liima with Finnish percussionist Tatu Rönkkö. Together they wrote the opera LEAVES: The Color of Falling.

Efterklang are known for inviting other musicians and creative forces into their unique universe, where they are given the freedom and responsibility to shape artistic expression.

This is especially evident in the band's many captivating concerts. Over the years, the band has performed more than 750 shows around the world at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Elbphilharmonien, Copenhagen Opera House and, not least, four shows at Roskilde Festival.

The essence of unity echoes through the band's past and present and has never felt so vital. Now, new music is on the way, and on November 16 at VEGA, audiences can experience new songs for the first time.

Collaboration and community have always been Efterklang's compass, and the group continues to look for new ways to build meaningful correspondence with their audience, to be inventive and inclusive. "We don't want to play for people, we want to perform and make music with people," explains bassist Rasmus Stolberg.

Halvcirkel er et strygerensemble, som på et fundament af klassisk skoling, begiver sig ud på nye ubetrådte stier. Gruppen har gennem otte år nytænkt, eksperimenteret og udfordret det stereotype billede af et klassisk strygerensemble. 

Ensemblet udgav i 2024 for første gang et album, hvor de selve står som komponister.
