Familien was brought together in 2020 as Benjamin Hav's regular backing band. Since then, they have played the country thinly and built a reputation as one of Denmark's most well-playing and entertaining live orchestras. Familien's concert at the Parkscenen during this year's SPOT Festival resulted in a five-star review from GAFFA:

Familien has developed a playful and creative universe where the music lives on its own terms. It is well-played and heavily swinging music, with wonderful dance moves and sharp brass. There are no backtracks or tricks - just raw, groove-based live music.
