Hjalmer has taken the Danish music scene by storm with his heartfelt music, characterized by themes of love, growing up, and deep reflections on this. 2025 will feature both a new album and a spring tour.

Since his debut in 2017, Hjalmer, with his big heart, his refreshing immediacy and his crystal-clear passion for music, has positioned himself as one of the most prominent names in Danish music.

In record time, Hjalmer made his mark with his debut single "Hvis Du Går" and later with the album In the Middle of a Dream or Something Like It, who won four GAFFA awards in 2020 – including Danish Soloist of the Year for the second year in a row.

The latest album, Everything Gets Better (2022) is a testament to his remarkable musical journey. It is a reflection of his life, a story of finding his way from darkness back to light, and an exploration of life's ups and downs. The album delves into themes of gratitude, loneliness, and hope for brighter days.

The past year has been spent writing new music, which will be released from the beginning of 2024. The singles "Aldrig Alene" and "Over Stregen", both of which have been heavily played on Danish radio, are the basis for a new album, which will be released in January 2025. With that in his backpack, Hjalmer is ready to take over Danish venues with his strong melodies and energetic live performances when he goes on a long-awaited tour.

About the upcoming tour, Hjalmer says:

"I'm really looking forward to getting out and playing again. When we hit 2025, it will have been 2.5 years since I last stood on the indoor stages, and I've missed it so much! It's in those spaces that the greatest magic happens between us on stage and the people in the halls. With me I have my faithful boys in the band for 5 years, and we're looking forward to feeling the rush with you and hopefully creating an evening that none of us will forget anytime soon."

25-year-old Malte August was born and raised in Aarhus. He found his voice and melancholic pop tone behind the piano, where the first songs blossomed and later took him to the internationally renowned songwriting school, Limpi Music in Lillehammer. He made his EP debut in January 2023 with 'Tilbage Til Mig Selv' with singles like 'Blinker' and 'Helt Væk', while shortly before that he had a popular breakthrough with the Christmas calendar hit, 'Den Måneløse Nat', from 'Tinka Og Sjælens Spejl'. Since then, Malte August has released 3 singles, all of which have emphasized his talent for writing relatable songs. With few live performances under his belt, Malte August is now ready to warm up Hjamler's stage around his Denmark tour. Here he is looking forward to playing his songs for a live audience and feeling the energy from the Danes around the country.
