Let Indigo Waves' dreamy indie rock wash you over

Indie rock band Indigo Waves have announced the release of their long-awaited sophomore album, Mirror, due in early 2025. Indigo Waves are known for their dreamy lo-fi atmosphere and pulsating, vibrant rhythms. They have attracted a global audience with a unique blend of dream pop and 80s-inspired new-wave.

Mirror marks an exciting evolution from the laid-back bedroom pop vibes of the debut album to a high-energy, nostalgic journey inspired by the lively sounds of 80s new-wave. The album is a dynamic fusion of synth-rich soundscapes and strummed guitar, recorded in the band's basement studio in Salt Lake City. With 13 brand new tracks, Mirror invites fans to experience a refreshing new side of Indigo Waves, which will be showcased live during their upcoming European tour.

"Matt and I both became fathers during the creation of this album", says lead singer Austin Oestreich. "Reflecting on our own youth, we wanted to create music that celebrates life's energy and joy, something our kids can look to and feel that the world is an amazing place if you know where to look. Mirror is all about that kind of reflection—choosing what you want to see in yourself and the world around you. We wanted to move away from the melancholy vibe and instead, create something that radiates optimism, something people can dance to and truly enjoy."
