Raised in Potsdam, Berlin, Moses Yoofee's talent shines like a neon sign in the blue-black German night. At the age of just 14, Yoofee was proclaimed a “young jazz genius” by the German newspaper Tagesspiegel and has since explored the beats and tones of jazz with musical companions Roman Klobe-Barangă and Noha Fürbringer.

It has since become Moses Yoofee Trio , who, with few releases in their back catalogue, have managed to make jazz music's delicate spotlight shine in their direction.

This year, the trio's debut album saw the light of day. A track with the catchy title MYT, which has been released on compatriot and pianist par excellence Nils Frahm's record label LEITER. In collaboration with the group, Frahm has used his magical studio Funkhaus to refine the arrangements and parts of the recording process.

MYT is a modern tour de force in well-played jazz and an interesting take on where jazz music is in 2025. The record is explosive one moment and laid-back the next; the album is steeped in inspiration from genres such as hip-hop, soul and R&B, making MYTH Vibrant and captivating from the first touch.

Since the group's formation, the Moses Yoofee Trio has built an extraordinary reputation for their musicianship and live performances; the trio even won the German Jazz Prize's prestigious Live Act of The Year award in 2024.
