The American singer and songwriter, Sydney Rose , first broke through the sound barrier with a touching and moving cover of “Turning Page” by Sleeping At Lasts.

The song went viral and triumphed on Spotify with a convincing 69 million streams, while also securing the attention of the music industry. Which resulted in Rose, who was only 18 at the time, getting her first record deal.

In 2022, the release of her debut EP, You Never Met Me, ready and the following year Rose was on the scene with her first album, One Sided. In 2024, she independently released the EP voice notes, which with the single “We Hug Now” sent Rose through the sound barrier again when the song exploded on TikTok and Spotify.

Now the musician is ready to run down the dream mile again with the album, I Know What I Want, which landed earlier this year on Mercury Records.

Sydney Rose is inspired by a treasure trove of songs from names like Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Daughter, Conan Gray, and Cavetown; names that all master the ability to translate a rich inner emotional life into universal musical miracles that can ignite the light of recognition in the heart of any listener.
