The Danish trio, Univers , consisting of Mikael Hegelund Martinsen, Lasse Panduro and Samantha Mercano, create genre-bending fusions of neo-soul and jazz. Crisp beats and soft melody lines coupled with personal stories.

The band has released two EPs and an album, all of which have in common that the sound universe sparkles while poetic melody lines tie a beautiful bow on the melodious, organic productions.

They kicked off 2025 with a performance at VEGA's Udvalgte. Here, the trio delivered a present and extremely well-sounding concert, which prompted Soundvenue to write in laudatory terms:

“Especially the completely instrumental passages oozed life and playfulness, and some hectic passages on the track 'Forsvinder' made a big impression.”

Without big budgets and major labels, Univers has received great praise and played, among other things, in a completely sold-out Ideal Bar in November 2023.
