Boundary-pushing pop party with USSEL
Fall 2023 marked the release of USSEL's debut album ENGLE & BLAA MAERKER and now he announces an extensive tour of Denmark and upcoming music releases.
After an impressive summer where he performed at major festivals such as Roskilde Festival, Syd For Solen and Smukfest, the time has come to explore deeper into USSEL's thought-provoking music universe.
After winning Karrierekanonen 2022, USSEL's career has experienced great momentum, culminating in his song "Datter Af Dæmoner", which was named Ugens Uundgåelige on P3 and is now also part of the debut album that he presents on the tour.
Audiences can expect an emotional journey through the debut album, exploring themes such as anxiety, the unpredictability of love and the challenges of youth.
ENGLE & BLAA MAERKER is thus a tribute to honesty and sensitivity. USSEL's voice cuts through the soundscape and strikes deep into the souls of listeners, making each song an intense experience.
However, USSEL's music is hard to put in a genre box, as he manages to fuse different styles in his own unique way. His ability to challenge musical conventions makes him an artist that stands out in the musical landscape.
With an undeniable presence and towering intensity on stage, USSEL, together with his regular band, will create a concert experience with both ENGLE & BLAA MAERKER as well as unreleased songs from the upcoming work Jeg Vil Ikke Vide Du Findes. The first single from the album, "Die For Me", was released on March 1, 2024, marking the start of a new chapter in USSEL's musical journey and promising a continued exploration of the boundary-pushing sound and challenge of pop music in Denmark.
Support: LAY
Last year, LAY released the track "Run Away" which attracted attention, both on radio and streaming. Since then he has gone independent on his own label - Problem Barn / NWO, and in April he released the track "Purple Rain".
His lyrics and topics culminate between angst and love and stories from his upbringing, where the environment and surroundings are expressed in the harsh and melancholic undertones of the music.
In February, he played his first partial headlining gig with his band, to a sold-out Huset. The future for LAY includes an album to be released in late 2024, and more singles.
