Valter Nilsson has quickly established himself as one of Sweden’s most talked-about new voices, and in March he released the album Högsbo Riviera.

On the album, he refines his soul-rock sound with everyday stories, presence and grandiose choruses. The soundscape is expanded with both brass and strings. Altogether, it is a sound filled with both confidence and humility — triumphant, yet slightly painful.

The album has been met with great praise, including from Swedish GAFFA, which awarded it five stars and wrote: “In a short time, Valter Nilsson has become one of the country’s most beloved artists. With the new album, he shows how personal stories can feel truly real.”

Valter Nilsson released his first album in Swedish in spring 2025 with the album Bland de gyllene och de allmänt brända. Since then, the Swedish artist’s career has gained momentum, and his songs have quickly found their way to a growing audience.

This was underlined, among other things, by three sold-out concerts at the end of 2025 at the venue Nefertiti. Here, Göteborgs-Posten gave him a perfect score and wrote: “Sell your child for a ticket.”

On November 7, Valter Nilsson is ready to drape Ideal Bar in Swedish soul, moving stories and infectious melodies.
