Even if this is your first time hearing the name Durand Bernarr , there's a good chance you've heard his voice. Bernarr has collaborated with R&B pioneers like Anderson .Paak, The Internet, Thundercat, and Kaytranada. He's also toured with the legendary Erykah Badu. An artist he's never hidden has inspired him since one of his first mixtapes 8ight: The Stepson of Erykah Badu (2010).

Since then, Bernarr has made his mark with his distinctive vocals and genre-bending approach to R&B. His debut album Dur& (2020) featured features from Ari Lennox, Anna Wise and Kaytranada. He has kept up the cadence with frequent releases in recent years. Including the EP En Route (2024), which was nominated for a GRAMMY for “Best Progressive R&B Album”. Most recently, Durand Bernarr released the album BLOOM (2025), which opens a more personal chapter in the singer’s career:

Durand Bernarr is a singer and songwriter who has cemented himself as one of the most exciting and innovative voices in modern R&B. With a father who is a sound engineer and a mother who is a singing teacher, his musical interest was no stranger to him, and at the age of 16 he landed a job as a backstage assistant for Earth, Wind & Fire. The experience was the kick-start to Bernarr's career in the music industry.

Bernarr has built a reputation for his breathtaking live performances - regardless of the size of the stage. Whether it's on a large festival stage or a more intimate format, like his acclaimed Tiny Desk performance, Bernarr is an excellent showman.
