Emil Kruse Set to Take Over Store VEGA Fresh off the release of his brand-new single “Jackpot”, Emil Kruse is gearing up to take over Store VEGA on 5 March 2027 — sunglasses on, no brakes in sight.
“Jackpot” opens a new chapter for Kruse, both sonically and visually. Picking up where the “Copenhagen City” video left off, the track sees him step into the shoes of a high roller, backed by a thunderous orchestral arrangement that signals a bold new direction for the Danish artist.
But “Jackpot” is more than a standalone release. It marks the beginning of a string of singles leading up to a new album, due in March 2027, with each release exploring a different side of Kruse’s musical universe.
The album represents a new chapter in his career — one he has built alongside longtime friend and collaborator Oliver Kincaid, aka OK OK. Together, they have created a sound and visual world rooted in the experimental pop of the late 2000s and early 2010s: a time when the boundaries between pop and hip-hop were wide open, and music could be larger-than-life, unconventional, theatrical and impossible to pin down.
It’s a world where raw energy collides with vulnerability. Where Kruse’s distinctive songwriting moves effortlessly between poetic imagery and streetwise delivery, with everything from full-blown orchestral arrangements to punk guitar finding its place along the way.
Kruse first made his mark at just 16, when he was among the artists who helped bring grime to Denmark as part of the rap duo Sleng. Since then, he has carved out his own path as a solo artist, releasing music of his own while collaborating with some of Denmark’s biggest names.
And if there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that Emil Kruse doesn’t do predictable. With his restless imagination and knack for pushing things beyond the expected, one thing is certain: when Kruse and co. hit the stage at Store VEGA, things are going to get wild.
