Relive Fallulah's debut album from start to finish
Most of us remember when Fallulah broke through the sound barrier with her unique and wild Balkan pop. She took over the airwaves, and we sang and danced along to the quirky beats. The Danish-Romanian singer has since become a household name in Danish homes. In 2025, her debut album The Black Cat Neighborhood turns 15 years old, which you can celebrate with Fallulah at VEGA.
It all started in the summer of 2009 when Fallulah released her first single “I Lay My Head”, which quickly found its place as P3's Inevitable. She followed up her debut single with “Give Us A Little Love” and her third release “Bridges” became the most played song on P3 in 2010. All three songs can be found on the solid tracklist for The Black Cat Neighbourhood, which was available in 2010.
Soundvenue named the album as one of the 20 most important Danish albums of the 2010s, praising it with the words:
“The Black Cat Neighbourhood's reckless pop combined with Balkan elements from Maria Apetri's Eastern European origins resulted in a unique sound not found in other corners of Danish pop.”
Fallulah cements herself to this day as a seminal artist with something to say. On May 24th, Lille VEGA acts as a time machine, turning back the clock 15 years to 2010. Together with her band, Fallulah will perform her debut full-length album on the night. The stage is set for a unique concert full of hits, nostalgia, hand clapping, dancing and Fallulah's groundbreaking signature sound.
