Kira Skov's poetic song gems sparkle in VEGA
With a wealth of albums in her discography, Kira Skov has been singing and playing her way straight into the listener's heart since the early 00s. Both as an artist in her own right and as the driving force in Kira and the Kindred Spirits, she has proven herself to be a true musical pathfinder with a constant search for new untrodden musical paths.
In May, Kira Skov is up to date with a new cut and is ready to take to the road and not least Store VEGA.
"I'm really looking forward to going on tour. Over the past year and a half, I've been involved in a theater performance, a newly composed opera, and written and recorded a lot of new music, including for a TV series. I'm therefore eager to get on the road again with my own music - and especially with the new material, which means something very special to me."
On the new album, Skov weaves evocative songs into a crackling soundscape of guitar and piano; spun into rocking and experimental passages, choirs and strings. Through themes such as hope and reflection, joy and sorrow, Skov unfolds his sparkling poetic nerve.
When Kira Skov is on stage, she is flanked by a well-playing band consisting of Silas Tinglef (Trentemøller, Mellemblond) on drums and guitar, Jens Hein (Tim Christensen, Carl Emil Petersen) on bass, Maria Jagd (Lueenas, Rumpistol) on violin and choir, and Anja T. Lahrmann (Excelsior) on piano, guitar and choir. A troupe Kira Skov calls a star orchestra, and which she emphasizes was specially put together for this particular tour.
The audience can look forward to a very special evening, where both new and old songs will be released in VEGA.
