Norwegian musicians Motorpsycho have been releasing their strange and progressive psych rock for a number of years. On 24 April you can experience them in Lille VEGA.

With alternative guitar tunings and jazzy undertones, the psych-nestors from Trondheim have cemented their place on the international psych-rock scene.

Earlier this year, the band released the album Neigh! Once again, the band delivers their genre-twisting experiments with a high level of excellence. The Norwegian student magazine Under Dusken wrote in their glowing review of the album:

"After a 30-year music career, it's easy to take for granted how elegantly Motorpsycho manage to juggle different genres. Yet a recurring theme is that simple is often the best."

Throughout the 90s and 00s, the band has delivered masterful blends of metal, grunge, pop and jazz that break away from traditional song structures.

On the live front, they are notoriously known for delivering an electric, debauched and unhinged performance that takes the audience on a trippy ride through the many dimensions of psych-rock.

Since the release of their debut album Lobotomizer in 1991, Motorpsycho has been one of the foremost exponents of the psych rock genre. The band has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, EPs, singles and live recordings, and over the years they have been awarded the prestigious Spellemannspris four times and performed at Roskilde Festival, Roadburn, Dynamo Open Air and Rock Am Ring.
