The band from New Delhi delivers genre-bending fusions rooted in New Delhi Hemp Jazz. Imagine psychedelic disco rock meets turbocharged gypsy jazz as trumpets soar over cozy chord progressions and swinging drum beats. Meanwhile, crooned and velvety vocals croon between the virtuosic instruments.

The band was formed by frontman Suryakant Sawhney, who started his musical journey after a spiritual awakening while studying in San Francisco.

The band mesmerizes the listener with a crisp mix of jazzy tones, Bill Withers-inspired melodies and Indian folk music set in a modern context.

After building a loyal fan base around the world with their two critically acclaimed albums, Portrait of a Time and Bismillah, Peter Cat Recording & Co. have traveled across continents to seduce audiences with their eclectic sound and unique presence. This year, the band will release their third long-player, titled BETA.
