Following the band’s critically acclaimed 2025 album Aponia, Svart Ridå are now releasing the single “Gränsen till undergång” on October 9.

Here, the band sounds more hard-hitting than ever, without losing what has become their trademark: explosive, immediate choruses that burrow into the listener from the very first moment.

About the single, the band says:

“We wrote ‘Gränsen till undergång’ out of frustration with the way our world looks today. Privileged people are so good at worrying about themselves and their own small problems, but forget that there are actually people who barely have anything at all, no sense of security to fall back on.”

Since their debut in 2022, Svart Ridå have released two studio albums and, in a short space of time, established themselves as one of the most exciting and genre-defining bands in the new wave of Swedish indie rock. Along the way, the trio have also picked up three GAFFA Awards.

When the story of the Swedish trio is written one day, 2026 will stand out as the year Svart Ridå truly played their way to an ever-growing audience. Hundreds of kilometres on the road and show after show culminated, among other highlights, in a performance at Way Out West in Gothenburg.

In 2027, the story continues with a show at Ideal Bar on February 7. Expect something uncompromising, explosive and enchanting.
