So far, 2025 has been a productive year for the Australian songwriter and modern heartthrob. Hazlett .

This year alone, the musician has provided the listener with a number of melodious singles; like pearls on a string, the releases “doing my best”, “blue jean” and most recently “tell me something” have seen the light of day for the very first time.

The songs are crystal clear examples of the musician's talent for dressing a classic folk and singer-songwriter tradition with a modern take on pop's catchy and grandiose choruses.

In an interview with Hazlett, the music media outlet The Line of Best Fit captured the songwriter in his musical ascent and highlighted that the musician personifies a new take on a well-known genre with the words: "Hazlett is offering up a hazy, textured version of the classic singer-songwriter".

After touring local stages in Australia, Hazlett's version of the singer-songwriter genre was truly refined after a trip to Sweden.

Here he found himself in a creative storm, where songwriting took a leap away from being solely an emotional cleansing process to writing songs that were ready for release. And with that, the debut album, Bloom Mountain was released in 2023.

In a press release, Hazlett says:

"I'm a little broken just like you. I am the way I am and at the end of the day people are going to like what I do or they are going to hate it. Either way this thing goes, at least it's going to be honest and from the heart".
