After a few quiet years, Cody is ready to enchant Lille VEGA on April 11th with their pop melodies spiced with folk and post-rock.

Cody are no strangers to the Danish music scene. The four members of the group have a number of releases under their belts since their formation in 2008. After a number of quiet years characterised by a pandemic and raising a family, Cody is now ready to take to the stage again.

When they visit VEGA, they will both revive the solid material from their back catalogue, but also present new material. The upcoming album, due for release in 2025, will continue the band's tradition of great pop melodies in a post-rock folk wrapping.

The 2020 album Win Some received high praise from critics. Politiken gave it five stars and an enthusiastic review:

‘When it all ends triumphantly with the trembling chaotic harmony of the title track, there is really good reason to put down the instruments in quiet triumph. ‘Win Some’ is Cody's masterpiece and an unexpected one at that.’

The band has toured extensively with their previous albums - both in Denmark and internationally. Cody has shared the stage with recognised names such as The National, Tindersticks, Bonnie Prince Billy, Band of Horses and Black Francis from Pixies.

Cody invites everyone to experience the music for the first time or as a fond reminder of younger days for an exclusive concert at VEGA.

Bag Polite står sanger og sangskriver Karina Kaleda. Med rod i folk- og indie-rock, kombinerer Polites univers bløde vokaler, finurlige synthesizere og drømmende guitartemaer. Den farverige lyd står i kontrast til de mørkere og ret markante tekster, der zigzagger mellem emner som generationskløfter og sårbarhed. 

Selvom Kaleda har skrevet sange hele sit liv, føles det alligevel som om, at Polite opstod ud af det blå. Lige pludselig stod hun midt på den københavnske musikscene og skubbede musikken i en helt anden retning. Polites debutsingle udkom i februar igennem Konkylie, og der er flere udgivelser på vej.
